OUR COACHELLA VALLEY CHARITY PARTNER
SAFEHOUSE OF THE DESERT
We are proud to sponsor SafeHouse of the Desert for our Coachella Valley race, and we are excited to support their mission!
Coachella Valley's only 24/7 non-profit shelter for youth in crisis. Together, with community support, they provide emergency shelter, intervention and outreach services. They help runaways, homeless youth, teens in crisis, and victims of human trafficking.
Safehouse developed an app, What's Up SafeHouse, which provides anonymous text-communication, 24 /7 with a licensed mental health professional from SafeHouse. Young people who are struggling with drug or alcohol abuse, depression, difficult family situations, bullying and other issues can receive help, while maintaining anonymity. Youth are also encouraged text about any friends they feel may be struggling or are in danger. Download the app: What's Up SafeHouse or text: SHHELP to 844-823-5323.
